Well, it's nearing the end of July and I must admit, that I have never worked so hard during summer. I taught summer school, which I normally do, but also completing these past two classes, I must admit that I've worked harder than ever on my schoolwork. I feel like I've learned so much that I cannot wait to try out in the fall!
The first thing I would like to try is implementing digital badges in my classroom. I feel like I'm getting pretty good with Google Draw and would love to create badges to keep track of mastery learning in my classroom. I feel like I still need to navigate how exactly I want to "display" and track the badges, but I love the idea and would love to explore it more in the fall.
I also really loved the rubric creation this semester. I learned about so many great tools to create rubrics. For my portfolio projects next year I want to use Doctupus and Goobric as they link so well with Google Classroom and Google Sites! I also used Rubistar for the first time this semester and I feel like a lot of times when I'm creating rubrics, I don't know where to start or what verbiage to use. Rubistar has so many templates already created for your selected subject matter that you can then alter and make your own. I definitely need to add this to my teaching toolbox. Below is the rubric I made to incorporate into my digital student portfolios for next year on Rubistar.
Last but not least, I really loved my goal-setting and self-assessment doodles that I created on Google Draw. I love the idea of Doodles because students can ... doodle! Plus it's serving the purpose of self-assessing and goal-setting. I love the idea of having student-led conferences and how valuable would these be to bring to the conferences?
Overall, I feel like I was really challenged during this course, but I'm walking away with so many valuable tools that I can and will use in the future. So although I worked my butt off, I'm extremely grateful for the experience I had!

Hey there! I love your goal setting and self-assessment doodle and kids will love them too. What a great way for them to practice self-reflection and assessment. These 2 classes were a lot of work, I agree, but I also learned so much and appreciate all the ideas, tools, and inspiration that were shared. I too want to try out Doctupus and Goobric. Anything that works well with Google Classroom is a great tool. Good luck trying out some of your new found tools this fall.
